Jaxon + Pumpkin =

Some tears...
He wasn't the happiest to be shoved into a pumpkin, but he sure was cute.
Halloween is one of my favorites! It is 'fall', it is the start of the holiday season, I adore all the CUTE decor, NOT the gross/scary stuff, and the traditions are so fun! Oh and I can't forget the treats and candy.
Branden has to work this week in Needles, so Jax and I are staying with my family in the Queen Creek! Tonight we carved pumpkins with my family, we missed B and Trevor, but had so much fun. I  think I had a lot more fun then Jaxon.
When I was growing up I always loved to scoop out the pumpkin guts and just get all gooey and dirty. I still don't mind it! I gave Jax some of the pumpkin guts to keep him occupied and it seemed to do the trick. He really liked to mush it and then drop it on the floor. I just love him!
It is crazy to think that around this time last year we were just finding out we were going to have a little boy in our lives. I could have never imagined how fun and rewarding being his mother would be. There is nothing else I would rather be doing then raising and caring for my sweet Jaxon.
{10.23.14}
There has been a constant waterfall of droll coming out of this kid's mouth lately. Definitely believe teething is to blame! I just ordered an amber necklace for him, not really sure if it'll work or not, but might as well try it and see. Anything that will help!
 "No pictures please"

These two in their natural state.

What do you do when you have to grab your camera? Trap your child with chairs!
He looks like he is in a little baby jail.
There is so much love for this little boy from all his family!

Maxwell just HAD to use a dremel because he saw it in a youtube video. He is hilarious!
I just love celebrating Halloween and this holiday season. Maybe next year we will actually be at our home where it is more Fall like and not still 80 degrees, but it does feel good to be here with family.

Jaxon: {Six Months}

How the heck did six months pass by so quickly? How is my little baby boy already half way through his first year of life? It amazes me how quickly he has grown and how much he has learned already! I need a pause button.
Jaxon officially hit his six month mark on October 6th, 2015.

H E I G H T & W E I G H T
All I know is this boy is big! I always call him a chunk, but he really isn't all that chunky anymore. He is just a big boy! I am thinking he might be built like his Uncle Trevor, but Trevor was a tiny baby so I guess we will have to wait and see!
So his last appointment was his four month appointment and then he was 16lbs 5oz and 27inches long. Jaxon's pediatrician is old. Like he is definitely in his 80's. Sweetest little man, but he can barley pick Jax up when he is checking him out, the nurse has to help him! Well I had an appointment scheduled for Jaxon, but I received a phone calling saying our doctor was out and "didn't have a return date". Sooo...I am guessing he isn't doing so well health wise. A very sad situation, but it also means we should probably start looking for a new doctor. Anyway I did weigh him on our scale at home and he is a whopping 19 pounds! How is he so big already? This is killing my mama heart.

They must go by tiny little babies with the clothing sizes because Jax had never fit in the clothing he is suppose to! He wears anywhere from 9 month to 12 month clothing, depending on the brand. We also just had to start buying him size 3 diapers. He seriously jumped from a size 2 to a 3 overnight!

I just recently stopped nursing. It was a sad decision. I had a lot of milk, but it just wasn't keeping him full and happy. So we made the switch to formula full time! He drinks about four or five bottles in a 24 hours period as well as eats a little 'Breakfast, lunch and dinner'. He loves his food! I've made him baby food, and he will eat it, but he prefers to eat whatever I am eating. I think he just likes his food fresh. I am not complaining. I am a huge foodie and I would have a hard time if he was picky. He still has time, I better not jinx it.
About sleeping...oh this boy did so well for a while and he is sleeping in his crib, but he still will wake up anywhere from 3 to 4 times a night. Some nights are better then others, but the better nights are pretty rare. All he needs is me to come comfort him back to sleep. He only eats once at night. Jaxon will usually nap twice a day, but that is also a fight. He is obviously exhausted, but will fight it so hard until he just passes out. They normally only last an hour at most. Unless I take a nap with him then he will sleep for two or three.

This kind of turned into me complaining, but Jaxon is really an amazing baby. I don't mind not getting the best sleep...okay maybe I mind a little bit. We are so very blessed.

Jaxon James,
You are the very sweetest. You smile at anyone who will even look in your direction. You are starting to get more aware of strangers, but as long as your dad or I are near by you are usually okay with being held by anyone. You LOVE to roll around. You haven't yet quite figured out how to scoot or crawl, but you are getting close. You want to be moving so badly! This month you were in Mexico for your six month mark! You are such an easy baby to travel with and have gone so many places in your short little life! You are starting to teeth and it is making you pretty sad and grouchy. Your fussy isn't even bad. Thank you for being such an amazing boy. You are adored by everyone you meet. I get stopped multiple times at the grocery store because everyone wants to talk and play with you. Daddy has so much fun playing with you and making you laugh. You are best buds already! We love you so much Jax. We thank our Heavenly Father for blessing us with your sweet spirit every single day. These last six months have flown by! It's going way too fast for my liking, but I sure do love watching you grow and learn. Love you sweet boy.
So much love,
Mom & Dad

Jaxon: {Four Months}

Alright, so I am waaay behind! We have been doing so much. By the time I have the time to sit down and write about it I am either too tired or Jaxon decides its time to wake up.

I thought I would just start out with our sweet boy being four months old. I didn't get pictures or a post about him being three months because that just came and went so quickly. Time is flying! We are loving every minute with this boy. Jax is so happy and smiles at anyone who will talk to him. Already a little flirt. We are in trouble. Those big blue eyes a bald head kill me!

H E I G H T & W E I G H T
He has his appointment for shots later this month (boo!) and our scale is broken so I can't even guesstimate, but all I know is this boy is getting big fast! Jax is definitely longer and a bit heavier then before. He is wearing pretty much all six month clothing, he can still fit in three month, but its a little snug.

Jaxon has started to eat purees! I still breastfeed him the majority of the time, but for dinner I will give him some solid food. He does not like rice cereal, but he does love pears, avocados, apples, and bananas. I just introduced sweet potatoes. He doesn't seem to care for them, but will eat them anyway. He eats really well and is finally figuring out how to eat without getting it all over.
Jaxon was a pretty great sleeper until about 3.5 months. He will not nap very well unless he is being held or we are driving. I don't mind snuggling him though! So he will take three to four naps a day. At night he is waking up two to three times a night. I am just hoping this will blow over, but any advice is welcome.

Jax,
You are so much fun! You are growing up so fast. I love/hate it. I love watching you learn new things and become more alert, but I know all too soon you will be all grown up and independent and won't really need me anymore. You are always sucking on your fingers and have found your feet. I will sit you in your bumbo to eat and you go straight for your toes! You finally rolled from your back to tummy and then back again. You have to be in the right mood though. You absolutely hate being tired, but are so stubborn about going to sleep. You have been to Utah and spent some time in the valley with all your aunts, uncles and grandparents. I get stopped multiple times when we are out and told how handsome you are. You respond with your adorable little smile. Your dad misses you so much when he is at work and can hardly wait to see you each day! You love spending time with him. We love you so much Jaxon and are having so much fun watching you grow and learn. Thank you for choosing us as your parents.
Love,
Mom&Dad

Oh hail yes.

One of the many things I love about living in beautiful Show Low is the thunder storms.
I love seeing the lightening and hearing the thunder roll in. It is really so beautiful! The days have been warm here, but as soon as the rain starts to fall it cools down significantly.
 I just love it.
Rainy days make me happy.
The other day the rain suddenly turned to hail! Being from the valley it is always exciting to see hail and watch these storms. Of course I had to snap some pictures!

After it started to let up Branden's parents took Jaxon for a bit while we went and played in the rain! We have this wash that runs along the side of our property and it is so fun. It was freezing and muddy, but I think it is beautiful. I can't believe we live in such a beautiful place.

Branden works so hard to make all of this possible. I am so grateful for all that he does for us. We are so blessed and I need to work on remembering that and being grateful for what we do have. Sometimes when it comes to Branden's job I am not always the most supportive. I like to think I am pretty independent and can be fine on my own, but there are just some nights I need to end the night with talking and cuddling with my husband.
but
This job makes Branden happy.
This job supports our family.
This job allows me to stay home and care for our beautiful son.
I am sure it isn't the easiest on him either. He has to be away from Jax and miss out on some family events. His hours are long and sleepless at times. The hours are spontaneous and rips him out of bed sometimes in the middle of the night. Then he comes home and takes care of me and Jaxon.
Branden amazes me everyday with how positive he stays. He goes to work without complaint and works so that we can live this beautiful life together.
I am working on being a more supportive and patient wife. I am trying to be better about showing him my appreciation for him and everything he does.
Branden makes me feel beautiful.
He makes me feel loved.
He makes me feel safe.
He is the most amazing and natural father.
He supports me.
He makes me laugh.
I trust him with everything.
He has many Christ like attributes.
He has such a love for the Gospel.
I always know that no matter what is going on in our lives, we will be okay.

So I guess what I am trying to get at is that I am not perfect, but I am so happy and we are so blessed. I am so grateful for Branden and the example he is to me and our son. He is pretty perfect in my eyes and I have no idea what we would do without him. Heavenly Father plopped him in my life when I needed him the most. I will forever be thankful for that. I am so grateful for the love he shows us and the work he puts forth to make us happy and allow us to have this beautiful home in the beautiful place.
So this kind of turned into a Branden appreciation post, but this boy deserves it.
I love you Branden James. Thank you for being everything I dreamed of and more! I couldn't do it without you.

Lake Powell 2015

For the past nine years my family has gone to Lake Powell.
It is a summer must for the Hebb family.
When Branden and I started dating I found out that it is a summer must for the Willis family as well!
That was just further conformation that I was suppose to marry that man.
This year it worked out so that both our families could go at the same time. As well as the Palmer family. It was just like a giant party! Loved being able to spend the time together with both sides.
Obviously this was Jaxon's first of many years at Lake Powell.
He seemed to enjoy himself...well as much as any two month old would. He was such an amazing baby. He loved riding on the boat, being outside, and swimming in the lake. It was a little chilly for him, but he only cried when we took him out. That boy loves the water! And we love him!
Branden made a fun little video of our trip. If you would like to watch it here is the link.

This post is mostly for the pictures and a have a lot of them! so enjoy(:

We had some fun with these metallic tattoos.

Denim adored baby Jaxon! There was endless kisses and hand holding from her. It made me melt a bit, I cannot wait to see these cousins all grow up together!

I am so grateful for my amazing parents and wonderful in laws for all that they do to make these trips possible for us.
